A bill that would reintroduce criminal penalties for minor drug possession in Oregon cleared a major legislative hurdle late Tuesday and will head to the House and Senate for votes in the coming days.
House Bill 4002 passed out of committee 10-2 with bipartisan support. Only Rep. Andrea Valderrama, D-Portland, and Sen. Floyd Prozanski, D-Eugene, voted no. Read more.
